Plain answers about your data. No legalese, no surprises.
Account info: your email address, username, display name, bio, and avatar. If you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub email and public profile basics.
Content you create: posts, replies, creations, media uploads, recipes, packs, messages, and anything else you publish or save on Slop.
Usage data: which posts you see and interact with (likes, saves, boosts, follows, views). This powers the feed ranking you can read about on our open algorithm page.
Device data: if you enable push notifications, we store a push subscription for your browser or device. We don't collect your location or contacts.
To run the product: show your profile and posts, rank your feed, deliver notifications, and keep counters honest.
AI features (like the sandbox and build assistant) send the text or prompt you submit to our AI provider to generate a response. Those inputs aren't used to train models under our provider agreements.
We don't sell your data, run third-party ad trackers, or share your content for advertising.
Infrastructure providers that host the service: Vercel (app hosting), Supabase (database, auth, and media storage), and OpenAI (AI feature processing). Each receives only what's needed to provide their service.
Public content is public: posts, profiles, follower counts, and remix lineage are visible to anyone, including through our public API and embeds.
We disclose data only if required by law or to protect users from serious harm.
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Push is opt-in from Settings and can be turned off there or in your device settings at any time. Disabling it deletes the subscription.
You can edit your profile and delete your own posts at any time.
Delete your account from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, posts, messages, saves, and follows are removed, and engagement counters are reconciled.
Questions about your data or this policy: reach the team through your account's settings page or the report flow, and a human will respond.
